Architecture as Art |
||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Painters are students of the abstract elements of art; line, color, texture, proportion, and visual rhythm. The masters combine these elements in a way that may delight, provoke thought, or disturb. Art always elicits human emotion. Architects use the same artistic elements to create art on a larger canvas; art in which we work, play, and live. As in all art, architecture reflects and elicits emotion. As a fine-art photographer, I approach architecture as a fine-art subject, interpreting line, color, texture, proportion and rhythm and striving to convey emotion as well as visual information. |
