Daytime skies often refuse to cooperate. Exposing for the sky blackens the building. Exposing for the building washes-out the sky. In this image, a second, darker, exposure of the sky was made seconds after the exposure of the main building. The two images were carefully blended. Additionally, the foreground wetland area benefited from selective brightening.
